Lives of Impact: Students

  • National and International Honors

During this academic year, more than 50 University of Pittsburgh students won national and international honors, including Goldwater, Truman, and Udall scholarships and Whitaker, Humanity in Action, and Josephine deKarman fellowships.

  • Fulbright Winners

In addition to sending Pitt students abroad via Fulbright Student Program Grants, the University welcomes international Fulbright Scholars such as these students featured in Pitt Magazine.

  • Diverse as Well as High Achieving

Pitt students hail from all 50 U.S. states and more than 100 foreign countries. Minority students make up nearly 30 percent of the Class of 2020, which Chancellor Patrick Gallagher (second from left) called "the most academically accomplished and heterogeneous in Pitt's history."
